You are not going to solve the behaviour of our young people by punishing them into a better way of being. This will only exacerbate their inner word. If we can be curious about their behaviour,we can help them deactivate these defensive manoeuvres that ensure their survival. 🧠🌱

Today, we celebrate the brilliance, creativity, and uniqueness of autistic people everywhere.
Autism isn’t something to be fixed - it’s a different way of experiencing and understanding the world, and that difference brings so much beauty, innovation, and depth.

If you’re considering a career in OT, Salford is a fantastic place to start your journey. I gained a First Class Honours degree and had the incredible opportunity to experience 5 diverse placements, which really helped me build my confidence and skills - highly recommended it! 💚

✨ Sensory Integration: It’s Everyone’s Business ✨
Ever felt overwhelmed by noise, struggled to focus in a busy café, or tripped over absolutely nothing? You’re not alone! Our sensory systems shape how we experience the world—sometimes seamlessly, and sometimes like a chaotic garage band with a broken amp (with a very loud dog in the background!).
Sensory integration isn’t just for therapists or neurodiverse individuals—it’s something that affects all of us. When we understand how our brains process sensory input, we can create spaces that support rather than overwhelm, making the world a little kinder, more inclusive, and easier to navigate for everyone.
Curious? Let’s talk about why sensory integration matters—for you, for me, and for the world around us.

Stay curious, stay kind, and if you see me walk into a doorframe… no, you didn’t. 😉
