I congratulate my leader and Egbon, Mr Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN (@yemi_akangbe), on securing his official clearance to contest for the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). I first met him about fifteen years ago when I joined the Young Members Group (YMG) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Nigeria Branch) under his chairmanship. Since then, he has guided and supported me. Twelve years ago, he offered me a job, but I had to decline because I wanted to build Abdu-Salaam Abbas & Co. He genuinely loves young lawyers, and that is why I wholeheartedly supported him when he contested the Chairmanship of the NBA Lagos Branch. He excelled in that role, and his track record with young lawyers in Lagos is exactly the kind of leadership the NBA needs at the national level. He’s my man any day, any time!

I had the same experience with someone. But I still show them kindness. Except that my friendship is no longer on the table. It is easier for me to be kind to you than to be your friend after it’s been betrayed. Also, not open for any talks. Dey your dey. Always available to help when I can. That probably hurts more. But the intention isn’t to hurt. lol.

What's the rationale and intention whenever we say things like this? I was angry o, my head wanted to scatter the tray, but that'll be me doing too much and creating the scene I'm trying to avoid, because of suit and 200 naira.

...so I was at TBS Brt terminal to head back to Ikorodu, I was hungry and my intention was to buy gala and a drink. Went to this woman's umbrella and picked up 2 gala, and instead of asking for a drink, I changed my mind to bottle water.
