Such a disgrace. And I guarantee no physical media either. Anyone who thinks this is good for the industry is in denial & brainwashed into believing that all Paramount wants to do is make everything political. Netflix should not be allowed to move forward with this acquisition.

Netflix is reportedly interested in giving a 17-day theatrical window for Warner Bros films once they acquire the studio. (Source: Deadline)

Many people believe Sinbad played a genie in a movie called "Shazaam." It's most likely a mix-up with this film and a costume Sinbad wore in 1994 when he hosted a broadcast of Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977). For April Fools' Day 2017, Dropout (2006) filmed a skit about VHS footage of a Shazaam movie, with Sinbad starring as the genie.

Part of the reason why I don’t care for Star Wars anymore.
Dan Marcus@Danimalish
Star Wars used to feel like an event, and Disney has commodified it and stripped it of nearly everything that made it feel special. Amazon is going to do the same with James Bond. What was once a long-running, theatrical FILM franchise will now be stripped bare and commodified.

@reverseshawtrap It was so insane to experience in theaters. I watched it twice over the weekend since I saw it in theaters back in September.

Now presenting LOOMIS, my love letter to the HALLOWEEN universe. This is a horror/comedy made with pure affection for John Carpenter’s seminal classic.
A little over a month ago I was asked by Christian Haines and Melissa Ortiz to participate in a show called ShotzLA, which is a hybrid comedy show featuring short plays and short films. The theme this year was called “Nightmare Procedural”. I was given just four weeks to write, shoot, and finish a short film.
I came up with the idea for LOOMIS almost immediately after receiving the prompt. It seemed fun to me to combine two things that might not otherwise go together: in this case the TV show MONK (representing the procedural vibes) and my favorite horror film, HALLOWEEN. The idea of two bumbling private detectives finding their way into a HALLOWEEN story amused me greatly.
I figured if I was going to make a film that takes place in the HALLOWEEN universe that I might as well do something very different than what I’ve seen before. This was made with so much love and affection for John Carpenter’s original, a film that shaped my life as a kid.
I hope everyone has just as much fun watching this as I did making it. After all, it’s Halloween. Everyone is entitled to one good laugh!
