I’ve been a Police Officer for nearly a decade. I love this job. Protecting those who cannot protect themselves and the pursuit of truth and justice have always driven me in life. I am here to listen and open to conversation with my brothers and sisters who are hurting.

The Origins of Mother’s Day Today is Mother’s Day in many countries. But its roots stretch back thousands of years — from ancient goddesses to a determined American daughter.

Hello #FantasyFootball fans! #MotivationMonday #PGFWABF Matthew 9:37-38 (ESV) Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

On April 30 in 313, Roman Emperor Licinius—with just 30,000 battle-hardened Illyrian troops—crushed the 70,000-strong army of rival Maximinus Daia at the Battle of Tzirallum in Thrace (near modern Çorlu, Turkey). Despite being outnumbered more than 2:1, Licinius scored a decisive victory in the Tetrarchy civil wars. Maximinus’ forces, exhausted after a brutal winter march across Anatolia, shattered and fled. The win cleared the path for Licinius to dominate the East and helped pave the way for Constantine the Great’s eventual sole rule. A classic Roman upset where discipline and leadership trumped sheer numbers! #OnThisDay #AncientRome #RomanHistory #AncientHistory #RomanEmpire

Heaven ushered in a hero of the faith last night as my Dad was welcomed home! Many will say sorry for your loss but the truth is he’s not lost, we know exactly where he is. He’s home. Forever! I asked him last week what he looked forward to most about Heaven, and he simply said, “Jesus.” He couldn’t wait to see Jesus face to face. Praise God that his wait is over. Death has been swallowed up in victory. He’s healed and whole now. So we don’t mourn as those with no hope. See you soon Dad!

On April 22 in 960, a two-year-old prince is crowned co-emperor of the Byzantine Empire. Little Basil II would grow up to become Basil the Bulgar-Slayer — one of the most fearsome warrior-emperors in history. Over 49 years he crushed the Bulgarian Empire, blinded 15,000 prisoners, restored the Danube frontier, and pushed Byzantine power to its medieval peak. Ruthless in battle, brilliant in rule. The empire’s golden age started with a toddler in purple. #OnThisDay #MedievalHistory #ByzantineEmpire #BulgarSlayer #AncientRome

On April 21 in 753 BC, according to Roman tradition, twin brothers Romulus and Remus — sons of Mars, abandoned as infants and famously suckled by a she-wolf on the banks of the Tiber — grew into men who sought to build a new city. After a fateful quarrel, Romulus slew Remus and established Rome on the Palatine Hill. He offered asylum to fugitives and exiles, laying the foundations of what would become the greatest empire in the ancient world. This same day also marked the Parilia (or Palilia) festival, honoring Pales, the rustic goddess of shepherds and flocks — a fitting “birthday” celebration for a city born from the Italian countryside. From a humble hilltop settlement to the mistress of the Mediterranean… the Eternal City was born! #OnThisDay #AncientRome #RomanHistory #FoundingOfRome #AncientHistory

Good day #FantasyFootball fans! #TellTheTruthTuesday #PGFWABF Romans 1:17 (NLT) This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

On April 20 in 1152, Young King Baldwin III seizes sole control of the Kingdom of Jerusalem from his mother, Queen Melisende, ending years of tense co-rule. After an eight-year power struggle, the 22-year-old Baldwin forced the formidable queen mother out of politics in a dramatic royal showdown—complete with military pressure and factional intrigue. Melisende had been one of the most capable rulers in the Crusader States, but her ambitious son demanded full authority over the Holy Land kingdom. Pure medieval royal drama in the wake of the Second Crusade! This power grab reshaped Crusader politics at a critical moment, highlighting the strong personalities and fragile alliances that defined the Latin East. #OnThisDay #MedievalHistory #Crusades #KingdomOfJerusalem #BaldwinIII

On April 15th in 1071, the Siege of Bari ended. The last major Byzantine stronghold in southern Italy surrendered to Robert Guiscard and the Normans. This marked the final chapter of Byzantine power in the Italian peninsula — a huge blow to the Eastern Roman Empire. #OnThisDay #MedievalHistory #ByzantineEmpire #NormanConquest #History
