As my crypto portfolio is near $1M, I learned a very valuable lesson that no one talks about.
One thing almost every trader gets wrong is thinking that making money comes from finding winners. It doesn’t. It comes from avoiding losers.
If you make 10 trades and 8 of them are bad, finding two 100x coins won’t save you. The market isn’t designed to reward people who are always right. It rewards people who lose the least when they’re wrong.
That’s why I spend far more time deciding what not to buy than what to buy.
Every week there are hundreds of coins pumping. I don’t care if I miss them. Missing an opportunity has never hurt my portfolio. Buying the wrong opportunity has.
Most people measure success by the profits they make. I measure it by the mistakes I avoid.
Ironically, that’s one of the biggest reasons my portfolio keeps growing.

🚨NEW: @Sen_Alsobrooks tells me the White House’s idea to have the Department of Justice enforce the Clarity Act’s ethics provisions is an “unserious offer” and says she would not support the bill if that is the only enforcement option.
Senator @berniemoreno, who has been working with @SenatorLummis to secure an ethics agreement with the White House, told reporters last night that the current proposal would put the DOJ, rather than state attorneys general, in charge of enforcement.
“But we’ll keep working from that floor to reach an agreement that holds us all accountable,” Alsobrooks said.
Alsobrooks is one of two Democratic senators who voted to advance the Clarity Act out of the Senate Banking Committee in May, and has said her continued support for the bill hinges on strong ethics provisions being included in the final text.

🚨NEW: Bipartisan discussions are taking place on Capitol Hill today relating to ethics, I’m told. Negotiators are also discussing DeFi provisions, but ethics remains the primary hurdle. Asked about the ethics proposal, a spokesperson for @SenLummis said last week’s conversation with the White House “went well” and that “the ethics text set to release in the coming days will reflect that productive conversation.”
