I don’t think it can be overstated how much not being tied to Democratic Party politicians makes it effortless to maintain a principled anti imperialist line without worrying how it will blow back onto your candidates. You will never catch the PSL condemning countries we bomb.

Sadly most American leftists don’t care about any radical or revolutionary work that was done by people who aren’t white. It’s why they only read Marx and Lenin, but not Fanon or Rodney.

@_RXAurelius tbh by that regard, most "communist parties" also are reformist & bought off, but unions are much larger & aim to have many workers as possible instead of just an advanced detachment that's doing propaganda, cadre building, etc so it's a place far more conducive for pacification.
