I read everywhere about the 'hard right' This the term used to describe people who are Islamosceptic - that is, people who are doubtful about the merits of a religion that demands child marriage, the beating of women, and death to all who oppose it Perhaps 'sensible right' would be a better description

And the mask drops… these misogynistic nutters are a stain on the right-wing in the west.
GenghisCoq@Genghiscoq

@_RedactedWriter Correct, women demonstrably are not capable of preserving society or culture. You will allow it for Muslims because you’ve created the system that prioritizes other cultures over your own. Until you stop it for all, you’ll be powerless to stop it for one.

Very feminine because you think I’m not making sense? You think women are incapable of being rational and reasonable? I won’t allow it for Muslims, correct. We have selectively made room for Sikh culture for years with no issue. It’s only once we’ve made room for Muslim culture recently that the problem has arisen.

@_RedactedWriter If you allow it for Sikhs you’ll allow it for Muslims. That’s the whole point. You think you can selectively make room for other cultures. Doesn’t work that way. What you allow for one you allow for all. You’ve lost the authority to rule. Very feminine mind you have.

Well that’s me told… guess as a conservative Christian I should not show “empathy for a foreign group”. Glad I’ve been corrected as I wouldn’t want to be too Christlike and compassionate.
GenghisCoq@Genghiscoq

@_RedactedWriter @MyLordBebo Your empathy for a foreign group is exactly why you will lose Britain. Go to Punjab, if you feel at home then stay. If you don’t want your country to look and feel like Punjab and your kids to live by Sikh rules, you should stop being a pussy. Diluting British culture is a negati

The Sikhs are not in fact economic migrants. They’ve been an integral part of British community since the 19th century, and, and, to pick one example, were instrumental in Britain’s victory in the World Wars. Churchill himself held deep respect for them and recognised them as a vital help in our war efforts. It’s very different from the sudden Islamic migration of the last decade.

@_RedactedWriter How is flooding your country with people from thousands of miles away , a country that has a bigger economy than your own Christ like? These are economic migrants, they are coming because it financially benefits them. To your own detriment. But sure your Christ like

I disagree, my defence of Sikhism doesn’t come from a fear of being labelled as racist. I defend Sikhism in this instance because it is fundamentally morally aligned with the west in a way that Islam simply isn’t. This is why there has been very peaceful coexistence for the last century by Sikhs in Britain. The current migration crisis started well after Sikhs were established in the country and they do not deserve to be targeted for an issue that has nothing to do with them. I concede that in the case of private venues such as arenas, it may be sensible to ban Kirpans, but that is an issue for individual establishments and their safety policies (such is the case in America for guns).

@_RedactedWriter @MyLordBebo You’re more worried about being called racist than actually fighting for what is right. Until Brits can carry, Sikhs should not and they should be stripped of that ability. Pandering to ethic groups is why Britain and the west are falling.

🇬🇧 Sikhs are allowed to bring their knives into football stadiums. Weapons are forbidden for everyone at sports gatherings … except for Sikhs. This is pretty insane. How about no knives for everyone, and if you can’t deal with it, you don’t go to the stadium? Why is Britain bending over to such bad ideas?

I will concede that I did not come across as subjectively as I possibly could have. Although I’d like to re-address what I intended to be my original point: the Sikh religion is not the cause of the current migrant violence epidemic. I find it frustrating that the anger towards the government and these criminals is channeled towards people and targets who are not the root cause of the issue. I agree with you that there does appear to be hypocrisy and double standard in the laws around knife carrying, and we may differ on our propsed solutions to that, but I have felt the need to point out the political red herring that is the Kirpan issue.

@_RedactedWriter @MyLordBebo There, see? It's easy to say that you're just giving a subjective point. Don't go there saying that the law is equal for everyone, unless you meet specific requirements for it not applying to you.

Cool then I think we agree, the problem here is that the nation overly restricts weapon access to its population, and that should be relaxed. The issue is the hypocrisy and double standard, not that Sikhs have weapons. The solution to poorly applied laws should not (in my opinion) be to give them further weight and scope.

@_RedactedWriter @MyLordBebo I support universally applied standards. If a Sikh can carry knives, so should anyone else. I’m perfectly content if we can all carry firearms. Pretty simple.

No, because I think it’s moral for a person to carry a ceremonial knife, but I don’t think it’s moral to marry a child. Thus, I’d only support one of the above statements. That’s also a generalisation in my part, because I also support concealed-carry gun possession so to be honest, I’m not interested in the slightest about banning someone from carrying a weapon.

Lying scum of a newspaper - you are proliferating unnecessary confusion - the victim was not stabbed by the Kirpan From the ITV reporting: “That small kirpan satisfies any religious obligation a Sikh may have to carry a blade and Mr Vickrum Digwa was carrying that under his clothing and around his neck.” He added: “Mr Digwa was choosing to carry on the streets of Southampton a very large 21cm bladed knife.”

@TheXpectator_ @MyLordBebo To be clear, I do not think that there should be religious exemption for child marriage. The laws are equal for everyone - if you so wished, you could become a Sikh and carry a ceremonial Kirpan.

@_RedactedWriter @MyLordBebo The point being that laws should be equal for everyone. What, if someone's religion mandates they can have sex with 9 YO kids, you'll be okay with it happening in your country?

@PanopticonBot @MyLordBebo Not saying all Sikhs are incapable of violence, I’m saying the Kirpan is clearly not a statistical threat. Even in this case the killer used a different knife.

@Genghiscoq @MyLordBebo Wasn’t killed by his Kirpan, actually read the details of the case rather than falling for the headlines mate. In fact, the recent stabbing actually helps this case: if the Kirpan is so lethal, then why did he need a separate, 21cm blade to actually do the attack?
