@ElijahShuch @polidemitolog Then stop acting like, and making demands like, an empire. The rest of the world isn't yours to order around, or be threatened into doing your bidding. Other countries have a right to say and do what they believe is in their best interests, as much as the US can and does.

@polidemitolog Note there is a strong intellectual thought precisely in the Trump's camp, of anti-imperial America. They deliberately do not want to be imperial, or want to be less imperial. essentially the same in real world. If you have not read it, A Republic, Not An Empire" by Pat Buchanan

There is such a syndrome as imperial fatigue. It is characterized by a societal, economic, and political exhaustion with maintaining imperial overreach, foreign entanglements, and the associated costs. Every time an American writes: "we pay for everything, we are the ones who sustain you"; this is a sign of imperial fatigue. You can show me corporate growth 24/7, the American empire is falling because its society is no longer ready to carry the cost.

@JigglyPants44 Ah, my bad. Can't have an opinion on it without being an expert. That's fair. So.... What are your credentials? Since you've made the stance that you must be an expert to comment on it, clearly you are an expert. So please, explain to us plebians from your expert position.

@SCShipyards I, for one, support the complete removal of khajit from our glorious nation. Thieves, skooma addicts, assassins, and roadside merchants are all they offer to the empire. It's also important to remember that they are always armed with their claws. We must keep our streets safe!

@HalfTangible With no horse in this race, I see it as a tit for tat sort of thing. An American will say something rude, a European will see it and respond rudely, and the cycle continues. As for condescending, I see it in your post as well, or are you immune for some reason?

"Clueless"? Europeans say "Washington is a greater threat to Europe than Beijing" and then wonder why America has stopped bending over backwards to please them. The thread you're responding to is about the fact that Europeans hate America MORE than Americans hate Europe Stop being a condescending ungrateful moron and this is salvagable, but NOOOOO Europe's too busy drunk on its retarded ass welfare state and using as their personal attack dog. They see the Iran war as a teaching moment to berate America for going after a country that legitimately wants to END WESTERN CIVILIZATION and constantly talks about doing so openly. Including but not limited to funding terrorists across the world. Like the teacher that punishes the bully's victim for fighting back.

The average MAGAtard is the most anti-White clueless illiterate retard you will ever meet. I have finally understood on a visceral level why the Republican party and its voters must be erradicated from existence.

I'm noticing a lot of left leaning, or liberal accounts, continuously making statements that are easily refuted but outright blocking replies after a few token accounts comment that they agree, of course. Funny that.

@bruce_mcgonigal Those people might actually shoot at them, though, and that's scary to deal with so they won't bother. But you? Oh you. You'll hand em over without a single shot fired. You'll just threaten to go to court over it where it'll be upheld and nothing more will happen. Simple really

It went from a voluntary gun buy back, to armed cops at your door demanding your once legally owned firearm... Why are the police not focused on eliminating every member of extortion gangs that shoot up homes instead? Wouldn't that be the place to start to tackle gun crime?
YEGWAVE@yegwave

Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree says it’s “regrettable” that Alberta is defying the Liberals’ gun measures, adding it’s “not optional” for police to enforce those laws.

@purrlitics My take since highschool, decades ago: Nuclear disarmament would be great! But it isn't going to happen. Since it isn't going to happen, it would be wise for us to have our own deterrent instead of the vain hope people will respect us and our position.

Carney said, “affordability’s the best it’s been in over a decade.” What? I talk to friends who can’t find a job, they can’t afford beef at the grocery store, and struggle to justify longer drives because fuel is so expensive. Not sure what world Carney is living in, but it’s not theirs.

@Paulrs6337 @bradcsmith "Hey man, my neighbor just bought a boat but we're both refinancing our mortgages. How come he can do that?" Other nations are free to be financially irresponsible if they want, as unwise as it may be. Doesn't mean we have to.

@bradcsmith If Canada is broke then why do so many countries with more debt and a higher debt to gdp ratio and higher deficits and on and on and on build these things while we don’t ? How many were built by private money? Why did the conservatives support this last week?

Hey Polling Liberal, Baffling would be a country that is broken, broke, in economic uncertainty and inefficiently builds everything overtime, over budget spending money they don't have. This is people's tax money. And the government is spending like we have an unlimited piggy bank. These should be private builds. With private money. Oh by the way almost 55% of our tax collectable dollars have left Canada. So. Baffling to those who don't understand basic economics, and needs vs wants.. i.e. you.
