If you see me post a tweet and then randomly delete it, don't sweat it. I am just a little shy sometimes. Like/retweet/follow ≠ endorsement, I am a coward

@CheeseGX_ Haha, one of the things I learned from Aikawa was the idea of constantly watching new things to gain more inspiration. From what I recall he's talked about frequently going to see movies in part for that reason.

I love following classic anime screenwriters on here not just for their general insight and shared stories but also for moments like Sho Aikawa posting his review of The Devil Wears Prada 2 where he says "ending of this movie made me cry bro that hits as an old man".

My time in Japan has kind of hit me right in the face, as I am not feeling very good about it. I've spent the last few years, for the most part, being very competent at what I do, and here I am constantly making mistakes and embarrassing myself. Not just with the

@capsulebutt It's so obnoxious seeing "Weeb Cringe Compilations" from like 2016, and it's legit either people who are clearly joking or just kids having fun. Like goodness gracious, I can't stand those miserable people. I'm really bummed that anyone had to deal with that.

@Aioba3846 Everybody's generally been quite nice to me, I feel a bit bad that they've had to dumb things down though. I wish I could be close to their level.

@_RogerSmith2004 Don't worry, Roger. No one's perfect, especially if it's something new. That said, from experience I can tell you that people more often than are quite welcoming in spite of stuff of the sort.

@_RogerSmith2004 How long have you been here? I've been in Japan for fifteen years and I still sometimes feel like I make stupid mistakes. You have to give yourself some grace and allow yourself to make mistakes. It's natural. Focus on improving, but don't be down on yourself for being human.

@MercuryFalcon I always headcanoned that Nyan Koi was a loose adaptation of Eddie McDowd but with cats instead lol. Though it is a bit different since he only turns into a cat and dies if he doesn't complete the deeds.

Wrote a script where Eddie completes the 99 good deeds. Then he pushes Justin out of the way of a speeding car but gets hit so he fulfills the 100th good deed but dies as a dog. 10 years later Justin has a son he names Eddie and we hint that he is actually Eddie's reincarnation.
Jane Altoids@staticbluebat

Sometimes i think about how this series was cancelled before he did all the good deeds so i assume he stayed a dog for the rest of his life

I can feel myself toughening up emotionally, struggling to not take things so sensitively while not becoming callous I used to stand up for myself and fight for what I wanted, and whenever I do I've found success. Rejection scares me to death, but not trying at all means death

I've noticed a cheat code to me having a good conversation in Japanese is to bring up Spiral. I'm 2 out of 2 so far on that. I think in general my favorite conversations to have are "Remember this? This was a thing".

@deadybones @ingueferroque The guy's English was extremely bad so it was very hard for me to tell what his intentions were. At first he said to me "Let me tell you a joke", but then it didn't sound anything like that after that. I would have rather he spoke Japanese, I probably would've understood better.

@ingueferroque @_RogerSmith2004 I see both, tbh. It's frighteningly legal to refuse to rent to foreigners, and with them left with few options, estate agents that target foreigners often use it as a chance to offload properties with bad juju from things like crimes or solitary deaths (among other issues.)

I got my apartment in Japan and just now a Japanese guy on the elevator told me that the floor I'm on is haunted and that I should leave tomorrow. What should I do?
