If both the GM and HC come out and basically say a player has played his last down with your team, just move on and release the guy.
By saying that, you are weakening your position on the player, and every team knows it. No one is trading for that player.

If the Commanders re-sign McNichols, which they should, I could see a world where they roll with Bill and JMC as their backs, while hoping Love falls to 7. But if they can’t get Love, I could see them feeling fine with Bill/JMC.

Funny you say this. As someone who’s played with Castellanos. Hes a great teammate. His mentality is similar to Kobe’s. He doesn’t accept mediocrity. People hate that kind of leadership, he holds people accountable, and the other 2 I’ve never heard anything bad about them.

Slugger Eugenio Suárez and the Cincinnati Reds are in agreement on a one-year, $15 million contract that includes a mutual option for the 2027 season, sources tell ESPN. The best bat left on the market goes to Cincinnati, where he's expected to get most of his at-bats at DH.
