📰 Today, #ESMOopen publishes the results of #PROCURE, a multicenter study involving more than 26 Spanish hospitals. This analysis, conducted in 290 patients treated with TDXd, examines the role of variants in the UGT1A1 gene and their potential association with treatment toxicity, concluding that no differences in toxicity were observed among the different variants. @Rodrosb, medical oncologist at @H12Octubre, member of the #SOLTIyoung committee and PI of PROCURE, further states that “the results open new lines of research on pneumonitis and specific biomarkers associated with this adverse event, in a cohort where the observed incidence was 11%.” We have actively participated by centralizing data collection and statistical analysis for a collaborative project that already includes more than 300 patients from across Spain and continues to grow thanks to funding from an ISCIII FIS grant.
