I have this personal theory that all the different forms of bigotry are all connected. Like…Ableism and a subconscious hatred for and distrust of the Mentally Ill is often used in tandem with Transphobia and Misogyny to deny trans people their rights to exist. (Pic unrelated)

Murry Foust, a 22-year-old Northern Kentucky University student, has been missing for nearly a week after never making it to class on April 27, @cbenavidesTV reports. A friend described the disappearance as an “impossible situation,” saying the uncertainty has been especially difficult for those who know and care about Foust. Police say there is concern for his safety and are asking nearby residents to check surveillance footage as search efforts continue.

#OnThisDay in 1988: Section 28 became law. Passed under Margaret Thatcher’s Conservative government, it banned local authorities from “promoting homosexuality” and stopped schools from teaching that same-sex relationships were acceptable as a “pretended family relationship”. For years, it helped fuel fear, silence and shame around LGBT people in classrooms, councils and public life. Teachers were left scared to support gay pupils. Young people grew up without proper representation. And a whole generation was told, by law, that their lives and families were somehow less valid. Here is Margaret Thatcher speaking in 1987, the year before Section 28 became law, claiming children were being taught they had “an inalienable right to be gay”. Section 28 became one of the most notorious and damaging laws of the Thatcher era. It was finally repealed in Scotland in 2000, and in England and Wales in 2003.

Many times white people have asked why they can't say the N-word? My question is, why would you want to? Saying the word is wrong by anyone. Yet, how often do you hear these derogatory slurs? Honky Peckerwood Kike Spic Wetback Beaner Chink Gook Redskin Not often at all. The N-word has gained some sort of attraction of it's own. Seems like the N-word has become the designated pinch-hitter of racial slurs. I now hear whites calling one another the N-word. Why?

Oh, you know Jeff Bezos is feeling the heat and afraid of a revolution when he’s calling to eliminate income taxes for the bottom half of Americans: “Why is a nurse in Queens making $75K a year paying $1,000 a month in taxes? That’s $1,000 that could be used for rent or groceries…We shouldn’t be asking this nurse in Queens to send money to Washington.” The poor and working class should not pay any taxes to a government that serves the billionaire class, the war machine, and Israel. But make no mistake, Jeff Bezos is not saying this because he cares about the bottom 50%. He is saying this to save his own ass because he understands how unstable the greed of capitalists like himself has made our society.

@insanitycpgg @RossKneeDeep That’s not true because I am a senior in High School and it still happens. And my High School is in the North, imagine how rampant it may be in schools of the South? It is purely a maturity and life-experience thing, as you age you gain experience with racism and naturally stop.
