@liz_m_bee You also have a cushion option on the Albany; hollow-fill fibre, which is the type of cushion you currently have, or a firmer foam. If you order a footstool and decide not to keep it, you can return it for a refund under your 21-day guarantee.

And if we have a Burgundy cover what colour scatter cushions would you suggest? Definitely getting the armcaps. Finally, to footstool or not to footstool? Going to miss this green beast though. Its been such a great friend.

@_SofaSofa the Manhattan(?) we bought 18yrs ago has survived 7cats (5 as kittens) & 2 kids (including potty training). I think it's worked out at less than 10p a day, but this Christmas we might need a new one... Would an Albany 4 seater in Kingston Burgundy be a good choice?

@liz_m_bee Hi. This is our lovely Montreal sofa, sadly discontinued. The Albany would be a great replacement and the 4-seater is perfect for stretching out. It's delivered in two sections so the delivery shouldn't be an issue.

@katewatsonsmyth We recently had this very same discussion in the office. Turns out, the wrong end (the end with the instructions) is always the end with the expiry date printed on it (with the limited amount of boxes we had stashed in our bags to test).
