@CharlesDagnall Absolutely but if there’s a choice to be made between two, one more experienced than the other and it’s a close call with nothing between them, maybe now the experienced player is given the nod because of these rulings.

@CharlesDagnall The issue seems to be Hartley is much more experienced than Shetty, same as last week with Bailey not being allowed to replace Singh Dale. It isn’t going to incentivise playing younger players when experienced players are available.

@prodnose That’s generally the case for most players. Gone are the days of connection between fans and players, players who care about the fans and fans who care about the players. Modern football is obsessed with xG this and assists the other, it’s not the game I grew up with.

I know it's patently obvious but the crisis in Prem League teams is because they don't play for their clubs. They don't have to play for their fans. They just have to play for television. Money's made, myth propped up. Just a football content service industry.
