1) Palestinians are indigenous Levantines who were Arabized, not genetically replaced, by the Islamic conquests. The ethnic distinction between Arabs from the Levant (العرب المستعربة, or Arabized Arabs) and Arabians (العرب العارب) has been explicit for 1,400 years, and is confirmed by DNA testing. 2) Uncorroborated claims of 2,000 year old ancestry are anachronistic and absurd basis for a land claim. 3) Religions which comprise multiple ethnic groups cannot be indigenous to land. 4) Nor can the Jewish claim to be 'indigenous to Palestine' be said to be rooted in Jewish tradition. The traditional Jewish narrative is that God gave the land to Abraham, who was from UR (Mesopotamia), and Israel (the people descended from Jacob, Abraham's grandson) later conquered that land. It is not a secular narrative of indigeneity to Israel. 4a) This account is of course historically erroneous, there was no flight from Egypt, and the early proto-Jews of the Kingdoms of Judea and Israel were likely indigenous to the land rather than immigrants. (They weren't even Jews, by the way, but polytheists, etc.) Nevertheless, it is the traditional narrative.
