@tarzaned I think it will be a fun, ROTSTING game mode. I think if you unlock the classic skins through the battle pass, you should be able to use them on the retail version. Now that would be so cool.

Riot's done a great job expanding into other genres, but I'm not really convinced League Classic is going to work. People have gone back to classic MMOs like WoW or OSRS because of nostalgia and those games are doing great today. MOBAs are different as they generally get better over time with updates and balance changes whereas old versions of League would probably just feel less appealing. I've been playing League since Season 2, and I honestly wouldn't see myself playing more than a couple of games.

@Wickdlol I think it's a fair point within reason for people to prefer having as close to an older vibe as possible (for example I'd like the classic models to not be locked behind pass/tokens), but it's definitely not even close to a dealbreaker like some people make it out to be

People complain about new skins in League Classic, and I find that somewhat ridiculous If you actually go back far enough to the true classic experience. Tons of people were modding the game and streaming with fan made skins that they downloaded online (Only shown to yourself) I think the main aspects of classic that people should focus on is purely gameplay relate

Why does riot insist on making all of these weird ass decisions that will hurt classic? Are they afraid that if they made a ranked queue with the old ELO system without role queue, hidden mmr, aegis etc. people would see how bad their current ranked system is?
