Lagos is by far one of the best states in Nigeria, and there are many reasons for that. I think it’s unfair to constantly degrade and talk down on the city when it’s clearly doing a lot right.
The major issue is the pressure on its resources due to overpopulation. Everybody wants to move to Lagos, yet people still wonder why the city isn’t functioning at its absolute peak. Despite all that pressure, it’s still better than the majority of other cities.
So it’s understandable why people get upset when all they constantly hear about their place of origin is criticism.
