The issue is HyperEVM native protocols are wasting time and money trying to work with market makers and HLP during the bootstrapping/price discovery phase. AMMs are the perfect instrument for price discovery, and HyperEVM teams should understand the plethora of good options available. They democratize market making and facilitate deep liquidity. For example, incentives drive liquidity. You can waste money paying a MM with tokens/loan, or incentivize the masses to hold their airdrop and attract new holders by LPing for high APR. Base and Aerodrome are already doing this better than Hyperliquid, so it surprises me HyperEVM teams continue to ignore the opportunities in lieu of pursuing the Hypercore order book. @NestExchange has multiple initiatives to help bootstrap new token liquidity and offer treasury growth. I'm hopeful more HyperEVM native teams launching tokens realize this.

Appreciate it James, and also thank you for serious effort you've made on the article. Fully agree on 2 - I just think HyperCore trading from day one isn't the right approach for most native assets Also agree on 3 - the system you've proposed is elegant and for the right team absolutely. But my concern is how many teams are like $KNTQ from day one? This isn't directed at you, but what I can see is that some native teams are focusing on core deployments, neglecting EVM. Trying to run before they can walk. On additional work like governance, tokenholder protections and value accrual 100% agree, this would be great to see more teams adopt into their launches

1) thank you for building on hyperevm. it's easy for me to write twitter articles, it's a lot harder to actually make stuff happen 2) this doesn't stop projects from lining up market makers, it just provides a more efficient mechanism for early capital formation and price discovery 3) not every team should use a hy-co, that would lead to state bloat. Hyperevm is better suited for many teams, but there are some projects that should and have immediately launched on hypercore. hyperevm can still support these projects by providing the additional work that can be built on top of hip-6, like tokenholder protections and governance

HIP-6 solves launch, not lifecycle and that distinction matters. It's a mistake to try and sustain liquidity on HyperCore for most new projects. In its current form, this proposal will restrict the total sum of economic activity that a token can capture and generate. The reality is that CLOBs require professional market makers and inventory capital. A token with a lower mcap isn't getting that. This isn't a gap HIP-6 closes, it's the reality for mid and long-tail assets. AMMs on HyperEVM like @NestExchange can solve this through incentivised liquidity and broader revenue share, to reduce growth costs for new teams at their nascent phase. This enables better liquidity, and opens up more DeFi composability. None of this exists on HyperCore. Of course it's down to the team to deliver and capture that value, but starting from a more expensive and restrictive base doesn't make sense. HyperEVM should be seen as an incubator, because it can deliver more value to teams when they need it the most. CLOBs provide distribution to the winners.
