Counterintuitive truth from my market:
Most people aren’t stuck because they lack skill.
They’re stuck because they’re too comfortable being “almost ready.”
I’ve seen writers, marketers, creators polish theory for months to avoid one risky rep that would expose them. Comfort looks like discipline until money is involved.
Progress usually starts where your ego gets bruised.
Appreciate you calling this out solid reminder.

@o2xhp I love the O2X mission. It would be a dream come true to connect:
- My skill (selling)
- My passion (peak performance)
- My purpose (helping leaders operate at their best)
I know it's a shot in the dark but hoping for an opportunity to work with you guys!

@_TheFlowCoach yeah the tests don't stop. you just stop registering them as tests. that's how you know the identity has actually shifted & not just the behavior.
English

@_TheFlowCoach Focus isn’t a switch you flip.
It’s a muscle you train.
English

@defeatcomfort It took me a long time to learn this... I read fiction before bed every night now.
English

@_TheFlowCoach I sometimes struggle between the scrolling and reading thing. But there’s nothing like getting into a good book. It doesn’t have to be learning - fiction books are fucking awesome. Get lost in a decent story for an hour beats an hour of mindless scrolling.
English

@TheBryan_OG Let's meet halfway.
People are addicted to dopamine, and they don't know that scrolling is rewiring their brain.
English

@_TheFlowCoach I disagree, I think reason people do these is because they’re impulsive.
They’re not thinking about the outcomes, it’s about “feeling good now”.
And even when they know the outcomes they generally don’t care because they want a dopamine hit.
English

@_TheFlowCoach Reading a book is a good measure for it.
You’ll probably start with a few pages and want to reach for your phone. Gotta work up to longer sessions.
English

@JohnGkatzos Without sabotaging your effort after the repetition....
English

@TheBryan_OG I don't think it is measurable.... Nor is the impact of doing these things easily measurable either. This is why people continue to do it.
English

@BThompson15944 Glad to hear you are on the other side brother.
English

@_TheFlowCoach Been there. For anyone who is considering trying to fix this, I personally guarantee that it is difficult but it will change your life in so many positive ways.
English

@_TheFlowCoach Had this realization yesterday.
Decided to stop bringing my headphones with me when I stepped out the house.
English

@yesadok That's a dangerous place to be. The only cure is more silence.
English

@sidrelll Totally agree, and I would add sabotaging its idle state.
English

yeah, this is basically the brain outsourcing its idle state. we've trained ourselves to treat boredom like physical pain.
the brutal part is silence stops being rest & starts feeling like confrontation. your default mode isn't 'chill' anymore, it's 'what am i supposed to be doing right now' on loop.
English

@_TheFlowCoach Too easy and you zone out. Too hard and you freeze. That sweet spot where you're stretched but not overwhelmed is where magic happens.
English

@theaustinren Very true. It's a muscle that must be trained.
Saying I can focus when i need to, without training is deslusion.
English

@_TheFlowCoach You train to be focused. I think most people don't understand & don't do that.
You need to constantly snap yourself out of a distraction and get back into flow.
Start with 10 minutes then increase the amount gradually. Prime your brain for flow through practices.
