You can protect plumbing and gas lines from roots, and you can just bury power lines. No one wants to do that because it costs money though. Gotta love capitalism.

@WhiteySwolz @bitfloorsghost Not to mention the roots can destroy plumbing or gas pipes. The mature trees require constant trimming to avoid power lines. I have a Pine tree which puts out sap and pine needles everywhere. Foliage always looks cool until you actually own it.
