🚨Man Wanted for Attempted Rape on F Train Platform at East Broadway Station, NYPD Seeks Public’s Help The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the individual seen in the attached media in connection to an attempted rape on the platform of the northbound "F" train at the East Broadway subway station. According to police, the incident occurred on Monday, April 7, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m. A 30-year-old woman was waiting on the platform at the Rutgers Street and East Broadway station when an unknown man approached her from behind. As she tried to escape up the escalator, the man forcibly pulled her pants down and attempted to rape her. When the victim tried to call police, the suspect grabbed her phone and threw it over the side of the escalator before fleeing on foot. There were no injuries reported. The suspect is described as a light-skinned male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, about 5’4” tall with a thin build, weighing around 120 pounds, and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and white sneakers. Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD.
