@3D_Musketeers The proposed laws in WA are like holding a silverware manufacturer responsible for someone using a spoon to commit homicide. Low number of those incidents actually happen and laws already exist for homicide. We don't need laws for every possible way it could be done.

@3D_Musketeers 1) A 3d printer is just a tool, like a laser cutter, cnc or even plasma cutter. 2) These additional laws are a waste of time and energy as there are already laws regarding no serial numbered guns, possession, manufacture of them etc.

We had originally planned a podcast about the 3D Printing Firearm debate tomorrow with a certified Floridaman and a Brit, but given the news today from MN, we are opting to push it a week. Our thoughts are with Alex Jeffrey Pretti, his family, his patients, and his loved ones.

WA state House bills 2320 and 2321 could make 3d printing a crime. That would wreak havoc on innovation and education. Businesses both big and small would be inpacted. These bills should NOT become law.

PSA: Remember the basics! The print temperature on the spool makes certain assumptions about the print speed/volume flow rate. If you increase the nozzle size and use a nozzle that conducts heat less than brass, you should increase the print temperature!

@JoshMurrah It is a site for Bambu printers. And yes the 3mf presentation can be frustrating but if you click the down arrow next to "import in to bambu studio" you can change the selection to "download stl/cad files" & get a zipped file of the stls and any cad files if they were uploaded.

I have a gripe, and this also another reason I do not like Makerworld - Makerworld relies HEAVILY HEAVILY on presenting 3MFs - and thus pushing profiles that only work on Bambu printers, and people don't think about people with other brands of printers and/or slicers. This is just a general mindset thing but I had to get it out there... don't lean into 3MF too heavily, it's too dependent on printer brands - your STEP / STL should have everything in it to render the part correctly.

For those of you who know me may know I got a new job. For the first time in 5 years I am driving in to work. It’s a long drive but I’m very excited for the opportunity and enjoy the job. My wife some times makes me lunch and leaves me these little notes. Makes me smile #worthit
