I’ve had to let some goals go… I’ve had some change, some get questioned endlessly, and some new ones pop up! I think moving is still #1 for bandwidth Closely followed by building an in home bakery business and Vtubing, with a healthy dose of fixing my mental health and my life to bring up the rear!

As a finally debuted small Vtuber, this stuff scares me. Like, genuinely, I’m terrified to even try to look into making or buying commissions 🥺 so far everything I have I’ve made myself because the one time I made a post about asking for help in VROID I got flooded with bots trying to sell me commissions and I haven’t been able to recover since 😩 I wanna draw some art for people to make a bit of extra money but I have no clue how to get started. I want to commission cute art of my Vtuber but I don’t have the funds to get scammed 3x before finding a real artist :,3 I feel so defeated and I haven’t even started yet 😭

This is one of the most insane messages I have ever gotten. As a pro-tip: do NOT "decide to complete" another person's sketch as a way to promote your own commissions?! I am so glad I only posted an extremely cropped WIP of the sketch so they could not do this to the whole thing. Not only that, but the idea of doing so (likely with AI) and not even trying to use the correct design of the VTuber you are trying to scam is crazy work. Their gallery is filled with clearly traced artwork as well, so I am sure they are likely one of those same art scammers we all know. Do not send any hate or harassment this user's way, but PLEASE do not fall for these scams and I hope NO real artists would every try tactics like this.

Makes sense. Think it’s a good thing but it’s not. Once everyone has ads, there’s less incentive to subscribe because why buy 4 subscriptions when I could just pay for Turbo? It’s a really slippery slope they’re starting to go down. No one likes ads nor wants ads. ESPECIALLY if the streamer they’re watching doesn’t benefit

So, this sounds like it has well enough intentions. But please remember, they lowered the stakes for getting affiliated on Twitch to be ALOT more accessible. However, they have a super problem with view-botting so instead of doing pro-active updates that actually help their creators they removed lurkers from the view counts. This seems like a way to counter or at least distract from the main issue at hand? But also, I am not saying affiliation should be gatekept, however, there should be a goal post. Monetization makes a lot more sense when your viewer average is at least 3/5 ccv, it's logical. That is not an extreme goal and is NOT gatekeeping. You already need to meet a certain threshold of income to get payout (also makes sense) and people who aren't affiliated aka most likely the under 5 ccv range are most likely not making that amount on average. I do agree non-affiliates should have access to at the very least FREE EMOTE SLOTS for their followers. That's the logical thing to me personally. I don't know, I want to wish that this has well intentions as accessibility is great! But I can't help but have trust issues with the platform that continuously cares little for their creators and cares more about profit margins. Also- this FORCES ads on everyone now, so anyone streaming on a non-monetized channel will have ads.
