Good to see our trees grow into a small forest Cities contribute 70% of climate change emissions. There’s need for #TreesForCities to create urban carbon absorption systems. Much appreciation to @TheIEK, University of Nairobi @uonbi, our Patron Dr Eng Damaris Oyaro and @k_iuesa

The World Needs a Climate Adaptation Breakthrough at #COP30. In their latest @Newsweek op-ed, Chancellor and President @GCAdaptation @Prof_PatrickV and Ban Ki-moon call for #COP30 to be the moment when words turn into action. They argue that climate adaptation is no longer optional but humanity’s first line of defense. With global temperatures rising and extreme weather intensifying, the world must triple adaptation finance by 2030 and deliver a new global architecture that protects the most vulnerable. Lead contamination from solid waste mismanagement is a growing concern, especially from electronic waste This is majorly due to lack of solid waste separation at source structures. Find out how our SmartCities project is sorting that problem through SSAcity.inairobi.com

The World Health Organization estimates that 1 in every 3 children globally has elevated blood lead levels — a silent crisis robbing potential before life begins. Speaking at the Launch of The 13th International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week of Action at @uonbi, H.E. Dr. Joyce Kithure called for urgent collective action to end lead exposure and safeguard future generations. She commended the University of Nairobi for translating research into real-world change; ‘science must speak to society’s pain,’ she said; and reaffirmed her commitment through the Safe Communities Project, which promotes clean water, renewable energy, waste management, and youth innovation. ‘There is no safe level of lead,’ she reminded all. #NoSafeLeadLevel #LeadFreeKenya #ILPPWA2025

Attention changemakers! Earth's fever is rising: temperatures have surpassed pre-industrial levels by 1°C, with the last 7 years being the hottest ever. This isn't just a statistic - it's melting glaciers, intensifying storms, and displacing millions. ️
