Lady B - IYALODE OF X
Lady B - IYALODE OF X@mobola_ade·
My name is Zainab. I’m 27 years old. An SS. That is, I live with sickle cell disease. My parents are both AS. Oh, they They knew. They were told. They still married. They said God approved it. They said love would be enough. They said faith would cover the consequences. I am the consequence. I was diagnosed before I was two. My childhood memories are not playgrounds or cartoons, they are; hospitals, needles, and adults whispering when they thought I couldn’t hear. In primary school, I missed classes so often that teachers stopped asking why. Some classmates thought I was pretending. Some thought I was cursed. I learned early how to smile while feeling different. By secondary school, the pain episodes became more frequent. I would wake up excited for school and end the day on a hospital bed. I watched my mates grow normally while my life moved in pauses, school, hospital, recovery, repeat. At 15, I lost my younger brother to sickle cell. We were both SS. That day changed me forever. My parents broke down in front of me — crying, apologizing, saying “We followed faith. We didn’t think…” But the damage had already been done. Sometimes I forgive them. Sometimes I resent them deeply. Both feelings live in me. In university, I tried to be normal. I joined sickle cell advocacy groups, volunteered with awareness organizations, spoke at events, encouraged parents to test their genotype. People call me strong. They call me a warrior. What they don’t see is me crying alone at night after another silent pain episode. They don’t see the fear that comes with planning a future in a body that doesn’t always cooperate. And Relationships? That’s another wound. I’ve been loved… briefly. The moment conversations turn serious about marriage, children, commitment….they leave. Some are honest. Some ghost me. Some promise forever and disappear quietly. One man once said he would do anything for me. He talked about taking me abroad, better care, a life without fear. I believed him. For the first time, my heart rested. Then one day, he stopped calling. That heartbreak triggered one of the worst crises I’ve had as an adult. Not because of physical stress but because hope collapsed. Now I’m older. The pain episodes come differently. Less dramatic, but more exhausting. My body recovers slower. My fears are heavier. I ask myself questions my parents never asked each other. I am strong, yes. But I am tired. If you are AS and the person you love is AS, please love your unborn children enough to stop and think. Faith is not a license to ignore knowledge. I am a proof to that I didn’t ask to be a lesson. But if my life can prevent another child from being born into avoidable pain, then my voice matters. That’s why I’m writing this to you. Because people listens to you and this story needs to be heard. I hope that your audience share this till it reaches those who are about to walk by faith and not by sight, Sickle Cell is real!. Adeyinka, keep rescuing lives, I love how you raise awareness and say the truth unapologetically, those who do not like you are probably those who wish they could be you. Have you met you?. Oh,I see you Queen Ade💪🏻

51 students “recovered”. 38 worshippers “rescued”. Yet NO arrests. NOT one terrorist arrested. NOT one terrorist killed. NOT one terrorist prosecuted. Just a declaration of magical rescue and recovery of kidnapped humans from the hands of terrorists. That’s all you need to know that this government just pays money to terrorists to reduce its international shame and disgrace. A truly serious government will be making arrests, parading criminals, charging terrorists to court and showing it is serious in the fight against insecurity. But this propaganda-obsessed lunatic leadership is not interested in any of that. These useless animals in power fold their arms doing nothing, wait for the next abduction, pay the terrorists quietly, and hope their gullible brainless followers online continue to praise them. Rinse and repeat. On to the next one.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu@officialABAT

My fellow Nigerians, You will recall that I cancelled my trip to the G20 summit in South Africa to enable me coordinate the security efforts at home. Thanks to the efforts of our security forces over the last few days, all the 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State have been rescued. I am equally happy that 51 out of the missing students of the Catholic School in Niger State, have been recovered. I am closely monitoring the security situation nationwide and receiving continuous updates from the frontline. Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety — and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people. ~ Bola Ahmed Tinubu President & Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria

Please don't waste 330k on IELTS. Many abroad institutions offering fully-funded scholarships don't require it. A Letter of Proficiency in the English Language from your university should suffice. It costs just 1k in UI and shouldn’t exceed 5k in other institutions.
Nanyo 💋🖤@Nanyo_sae

1. Do my clearance in school -130k 2. Apply for my transcript in school -25k 3. Get myself an international passport -150k 4. Pay for IELTS- 280k 5. Pay for the online classes for IELTS- 50k That's all.

We are 18 biological o. Na the girls sabi book though. All the boys (including me) made 2:2. The girls? Two made First Class in Law; One made a First Class in Accounting; One just got 5.0 GPA in her MBA in the USA (we joked that she didn’t even leave any marks for the lecturer😀), plenty 2:1s, including in Maths, and plenty Distinction Masters. The boys are fighting back by showing workings though. One is a forensic banker in “the abroad” that knows money and one is an Ezemmuo that knows things.😊

THE HARD TRUTH, the hard reality; “When God wants to make a man powerful, He doesn't crown him first; He breaks him. First, He strips away your comfort, your pride, your plans, until all that's left is what's real. That isn't punishment, that's training.” Please be careful not to interpret this as God is going to break you to make you great for your own glory and fame. Nigerian Resident Doctors are some of the most resilient souls you can find anywhere. They’re Patriotic, decent family men and women. The roughness of medical school, house job, NYSC and residency training means you will literally be writing exams for 25 to 30 years from Primary School till the end of your training to become a consultant. In addition, the larger Nigerian economic realities lay on your bed with you every step of the way. The resident Doctor will still be on call to save lives with exhaustion, improvisation, grit, fortitude, fear of failure, work place and residency related bullying, his consultant’s ego, his patient’s mistrust, under equipped hospitals with no power, an ungrateful Government, and YES, PATRIOTISM. His parents spend fortunes to put him/her through school. The Government spends fortunes to provide facilities for training. Naturally, that resident doctor wants to graduate and serve his country while also taking care of his parents. Every Resident Doctor wants to achieve this by investing his youth, belief and loyalty into the Nigerian system. The only glue that keeps the resident Doctor to this dream is the glue made from PATRIOTISM. Unfortunately, Patriotism doesn’t pay school fees or put food on the table. It doesn’t pay rent or pay examination fees. At least not in Nigeria. And it certainly won’t take care of your parents or children in their times of need. There is no better analogy to God’s plan of preparing men and women for tasks beyond themselves like the story of the resident doctor in Nigeria. Even when you strike, protest, give ultimatums, cry out, shout at the top of your lungs and even die, nothing is heard, nothing is done. You get paid peanuts and asked to resume back to work. And when a resident Doctor eventually makes the ultimate sacrifice, Nigeria is certain it will produce more doctors to replace those who have now become only statistics and relegated to the annals of arguments. After all, Nigeria Produces tons of Doctors and bleeds them unpatriotically to other countries. Let us all remember, dear distinguished resident doctors, some of us will not be here to lead forever. Some other of us will have to step up to lead the rest of us and lead us like Lions. “Doctors are lions, no sheep can lead them. To lead Doctors, you must be a lion. We are all lions.” For those who choose to remain in Nigeria, let us continue to rally around the 19-Point demand of NARD. Those who choose to JAPA, kindly do us the favor of genuinely consulting our leaders who also JAPA for medical tourism just to see your UNPATRIOTIC consulting faces abroad. As for me, I remain committed to the struggle as directed by the National Executive Council of NARD As Always, P-MUS of NARD 16:10:2025 @officialABAT @officialSKSM @SenGodswill @nationalnma @mdcan_ng @Fmohnigeria @muhammadpate @SalakoIziaq @NGRPresident @NGRSenate @daily_trust @MobilePunch @GuardianNigeria @ARISEtv @channelstv @seunokin

NMCN just updated the list of accredited nursing schools. If your school has “Embargo on Admission,” they shouldn’t be admitting you at all. Before you go and register in a school because they have a fine building and sweet talk, cross-check the official NMCN list.
