Summary: MMA is a high-intensity aerobic endurance event that is performed in the aerobic-anaerobic transition zone. If you are not doing aerobic endurance training then *you are not prepared for fighting*. So get those running shoes on, or get on that rower/bike & do the work!

MMA fighters did a VO2max test 🏃& a 3x5min sparring bout 🥊🥋🤼‍♀️ VO2max test was conducted via treadmill with breath-by-breath gas analysis to record VO2max, VT1, and VT2.
