Edens is essentially saying loyalty is a luxury they can't afford, while conveniently ignoring that Giannis already gave them a championship by staying when he had every reason to leave. Now they're publicly framing him as an asset to be flipped if he doesn't extend, as if he owes them something. If Giannis walks or forces a trade next summer, this quote will be Exhibit A for why players stopped trusting front offices to act in good faith.
