Over a month ago I made the mistake of listing a ~$600 @splinterlands card for only $4.19 because I had bulk selected it by accident with a bunch of other cards.
Luckily, I was able to trace the account and found @__Hanv__ was the owner, who promptly returned my card and declined to accept any bounty.

I didn’t really get any answers here, but I’ll continue on with my own opinion.
Gold foil and black foil cards have seen lots of demand because of their increased utility. They have been successful in terms of being popular with the community.
But I believe the Arcane foils have been a failure. Virtually nobody seems to care about them. I honestly don’t even recognize them in battle.
Without utility the community doesn’t seem to care. And I think that highlights a problem basically all of web3 gaming currently faces.
How do we get to the point where people care about cool things in the game even if there only utility is simply being cool?

Yesterday I placed this Shiny Charizard in the neighborhood gym and within 10 minutes several neighborhood kids were out trying to find out whose it was and offering me their best trades for it. This is the experience that Splinterlands tried to create with the chase cards from the latest set. Do you think they succeeded?

I asked a player who plays a TON of Modern Champs:
"What do you think about the current Modern format?"
The answer I got was:
"It's well balanced now and really enjoyable to play. The only thing that is not good at current modern is the lack of players. Before CA you could just spam the same lineups over and over and win.
But right now, there are different lineups to choose from so it's really unpredictable to play, lots of new synergies for the new and old cards"
