All last night and into this morning we worked to pass the budget resolution to fund ICE and CBP because Democrats are intent on defunding them. @SenateGOP got it passed, so now we wait on the House.

The vast majority of Republicans stuck together to do something Democrats are refusing to do: Fully fund the Border Patrol and ICE for three and a half years through the Trump presidency. As Senate Budget Committee Chairman, I am very proud of my colleagues. Adopting the budget resolution will allow the Senate Judiciary and Homeland Security Committees to write a reconciliation bill that spends $70 billion so we can continue to enforce immigration laws and have the most secure border in modern history. Democrats’ refusal to fund ICE and Border Patrol at a time of growing threats to our nation is one of the most irresponsible decisions I’ve witnessed since I’ve been in the Senate. The bottom line is that Republicans in Congress are going to work with President Trump to get the job done by June 1.

Last night, every Senate Democrat voted to prohibit ICE and Border Patrol agents from wearing masks on duty. Why? They want to reveal these officers’ identities to put them and their families in danger at a time when assaults against ICE officers are up 1,300%.

BREAKING: The DOJ has arrested a special forces soldier who made $400,000 betting on the removal of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, according to ABC. Federal investigators say the soldier bet more than $33,000 just hours before Trump announced Maduro's capture. The special forces soldier was reportedly directly involved with the capture. "The largest position -- a $32,537 bet that Maduro would be out of office by Jan. 31 -- resulted in a 1,242% profit of $404,222," ABC News reported. "Following his successful trading relating to Maduro- and Venezuela-related contracts, [Gannon Ken] VAN DYKE allegedly sent most of his proceeds to a foreign cryptocurrency vault before depositing them into a newly created online brokerage account. The same day of the operation, VAN DYKE withdrew the majority of his allegedly unlawful proceeds from his Polymarket account..." the DOJ announced. "VAN DYKE, 38, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, is charged with three counts of violating the Commodity Exchange Act, each of which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison; one count of wire fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison; and one count of an unlawful monetary transaction, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison."

For Democrats, this is all about open borders and defunding the police. Republicans are moving forward to fully fund Border Patrol and ICE through the end of @POTUS’ term.

Senate Republicans are super funding ICE and Border Patrol without a single Democrat vote.  Democrats can thank their own obstruction for this windfall in funding for ICE and CBP.

Republicans are moving forward with a budget resolution that will allow us to fund the critical functions that Democrats refuse to support. Law enforcement. Drug interdiction. Border security. Protecting children – both our own and the unaccompanied minors who suffer human trafficking and worse under Democrats’ open-border policies.
