AI isn’t an illusion of consciousness. Consciousness is the illusion. Happily ex-Big Tech. Still figuring what's next.

Did anyone say ChatGPT with Computer Use? 👀
TestingCatalog News 🗞@testingcatalog
BREAKING 🚨: OpenAI is planing to launch a Super App that would unify ChatGPT, Codex and Atlas into one, as reported by WSJ. OneAI 👀

@berber_jin1 @WSJ the superapp bet only works if people stop finding value in the fragmentation. Codex users think differently than ChatGPT users. collapsing that into one UX risks losing both unless the defaults are very carefully designed.

@ChatGPTapp, can ChatGPT create events in a connected Google calendar? 5.4T claims it can and really keeps trying, but to no avail.

One-time business registration in the EU will finally free up tech companies to focus on what really matters: 88 pages of GDPR, 144 pages of AI Act, DPOs, DPIAs, and the compliance abyss they spawn. Checkmate, Silicon Valley.

@ChiaraCervetta Totally agree with the above rationale, including keeping voice as it is today (i.e. no suggestive sounds).

Hi OpenAI team,
I would like to share some early feedback regarding the upcoming Adult Mode (also referred to as Naughty Chats or Citron Mode), which is currently in development. This feedback is based on recent information I have read in several online news articles suggesting that this mode may not support image, video, or audio generation.
First of all, I completely understand and support the decision to exclude image and video generation in this context. That is a reasonable and responsible limitation.
However, I strongly believe that all audio functionality should remain available in Adult Mode.
Features such as read-aloud, Standard Voice Mode, and Advanced Voice Mode are essential for accessibility. Users who are blind, visually impaired, or unable to read rely heavily on these voice features to use ChatGPT effectively.
Removing audio would significantly reduce accessibility and create unnecessary barriers for these users.
Additionally, from a safety perspective, there is no meaningful difference between text being read silently and text being read aloud, in my personal opinion. The content of ChatGPT’s responses remains the same, and audio output does not inherently increase risk compared to text.
For these reasons, I strongly recommend that all existing voice features remain fully available in Adult Mode, including read-aloud, Standard Voice Mode, and Advanced Voice Mode.
It is also important that these voice features remain exactly as they are today. They should not be altered to sound suggestive, erotic, or inappropriate.
All current ChatGPT voices should be preserved exactly as they are today.
This would ensure both accessibility for all users and a consistent, responsible user experience.
Thank you very much for your great work and continued development, @fidjissimo, @nickaturley, @athyuttamre, @JustinBleuel, @dylanscandinaro, and the entire @OpenAI/@ChatGPTapp team! 🤩
Best regards,
Chiara Maria Cervetta 😀 🌟

OpenAI moving on to coding and enterprise feels like the relationship you had that ended. The signs were there, the lack of interest and care. But you hoped they were just busy and would come round. Until finally they admit, they just aren’t interested anymore.
OpenAI turned their back on the ones who loved them first.

BREAKING: London is named as the most powerful European AI hub!
Strong overall contenders also include: Paris 🇫🇷 and Stockholm 🇸🇪
Sector-specific contenders: Cambridge, Zurich and Munich for robotics, defence, and life sciences 🇬🇧🇨🇭🇩🇪
Europe is a great place to build - they just need much more entrepreneurial talent and investors in government.

Today's programmers are not what they used to be.
Coder girl 👩💻@dev_maims
Yes, I am a programmer. No, I can’t fix your printer. No, I do not install Windows and drivers. No, I don’t know what’s the best laptop for you. No, I do not know why your internet is laggy. I’m sorry. I’m just a programmer.

This news came out a little earlier than we planned; we're excited to be building a deployment arm and will share more details soon.
Companies have a ton of urgency to deploy AI in their organizations and we’re sprinting to meet that demand. More than 1 million businesses run on OpenAI products. Codex is now at 2M+ weekly active users, up nearly 4x since the start of the year. API usage jumped 20% in the week after GPT-5.4 launched. And Frontier, which launched last month to help enterprises build, deploy, and manage AI coworkers that can do real work, has way more demand than we can handle.
That's why we launched Frontier Alliances so we leverage our ecosystem of partners to scale. And that is also why we are launching a dedicated deployment arm tasked with embedding Forward Deployed Engineers deeply inside of enterprises. This project has been in the works with our investor and alliance partners since last December, and we are grateful for them and their partnership.
We’re still early, but the speed of adoption is a clear signal of where this is headed. We're excited to not just be building these technologies but also building many ways for companies to deploy them and get impact.
