@bambibristol 85% of uk primary schools already run paid breakfast clubs. Its the only way they can keep the wheels on their finances. This poorly funded plan undermines schools supplementing their delegated budgets. The outcome will be less money in primary education.

Quite amusing how selective people's memories of World Cups are. There have ALWAYS been loads of dull, boring games. This is what international tournament football is and always has been like. If anything the overall quality and entertainment has improved over time.

@rationalhumanis Money is the yardstick for everything in the USA. The reality is that if you sit down and watch an American Football game on tv you'll consume 4x more advertising that football.

We have three sports leagues in the US that each make far more revenue than any soccer league anywhere in the world. We have dozens of stadiums that are far beyond the best venue in most countries. Sports as entertainment is something we unquestionably do better than anyone else in the world. So when US sports consumers give feedback, you would think people would listen, right? It's like French people commenting on your food or Germans talking about your engineering quality. Nope! Just more Euro-snob bullshit. The bottom line is soccer is a worse product than American football or basketball. That's why we don't watch it. We have options.

I have put restrictions on my kids phones so they can’t use them before 7am or after 8pm except to make calls/send texts. They can’t download apps without me approving and they’re not allowed: WhatsApp Instagram TikTok Snapchat X It’s called parenting, some should try it.
