When I was writing my masters thesis, I knew Mau Mau was banned in the 50s. But I assumed of course after independence, they'd be unbanned. I decided to look up the date so I could cite it. Mau Mau was unbanned in 2003! by the Kibaki administration. I clearly remember screaming.

I wrote this and it was very eye opening. Most of the food that is imported and sold in Nigeria is heavily unregulated. From cereal to sodas, the worst of the world’s products land on our shores, on our plates and in our bellies.

Say no more. Nigerian babies are fed sugar-packed Cerelac while European babies get the same brand with zero added sugar. The same culprit? Nestlé. Ultimately, NAFDAC is to be held responsible. Their mandate is to protect the health of Nigerians and they are failing at it.
