@themoviedadsc @MattMsully23m @MySportsUpdate @Ian_OConnor They usually don't under perform in regular season, playoffs yes Ravens definitely have underperformed but I think for the goal the giants are aiming at john is a great hire compared to others options.

Won a SB almost 15 years ago and his Ravens teams are consistently mentioned as one of the biggest underperforming teams over the past 3-5 years.
He's also not necessarily a guru on offense or defense (was Eagles Special Teams coach before Ravens).
Not someone that screams back up the Brinks truck for.

Via @Ian_OConnor, the contract holdup between John Harbaugh and the #Giants centered on reporting structure. Harbaugh needed it in writing that he would report directly to owner John Mara — not to GM Joe Schoen. (Harbaugh reported directly to ownership in Baltimore, but that has not been the structure with the Giants.)
Schoen recused himself from the negotiations over the last couple of days.
