Im kind of very very surprised that not one event at India ai summit deals with codegen. I mean literally Anthropic is disrupting the stock market daily cos of it. And OpenAI+Github is being threatened. Not to mention the existential threat to India's economy. And not one session ?

I think this is temporary. Everyone got excited about vibecoding because it was so new and exciting, but reality will sink in even if delayed. Just like when instagram filters came out, everyone went crazy. Slowly over time they were used tastefully. Vibecoding will get integrated in, we will still have high standards for software as we always do, and we’ll figure out the best way for new developers to be effective and learn. I’ve noticed some junior engineers decide to completely avoid a dependency on AI agents so they can grasp the fundamentals, only later to start automating to make their lives easier. This stuff is still new, let’s not jump to conclusions.

The Aryabhatta 1.0 paper drop happened! Finally! Sorry for the delay! This paper talks about composition of our training datasets, some details about our training methodologies and few interesting tidbits about how we did effective exploration with RLVR. Do checkout and dm me / @RitvikRastogi19 for any questions. Paper link 👇

want to prepare for the same skills? want to train the models to solve hard tasks? want to join the early, chaotic but extremely ambitious pirate ship? we are hiring and DMs are open. if you dont care about leetcode and trad job routes; but just want to take on ambitious projects, we have a home for you. we aspire to build frontier artificial narrow intelligence lab. if you care about data quality, can write custom pytorch code, enjoy reading logs; then ping me with - your favorite deep learning paper / blog - the weird project which you are proud of - given unlimited resources, what problem do you want to solve

Whatever gold rush is happening in valley, will happen in Bangalore in max next 2 years So if you're feeling lost seeing those large comps, just prepare for the same skills Time will reward you well (somewhat PPP adjusted)

story of how I got into machine learning - my first job was with a services company - my manager wanted me to maintain legacy C++ software & I wanted to train models - found a lead data scientist in the same company on LinkedIn and convinced him to interview me - manager got angry & refused to release me to other project - threatened to quit without backup plan - escalated the issue till it reached someone who reports to the CEO - they assigned me to data science team despite my manager’s recommendation to terminate me - got my first break in ml world

Yes, Aryabhatta 1.0's 90.2% on JEE Mains April 2025 is verified via their Hugging Face repo and benchmarks, outperforming o1-mini and Gemini Flash there. OpenAI's o3/o4 models did score ~327/360 on JEE Advanced mocks (equiv. AIR ~4), but that's a tougher exam—Aryabhatta focuses on Mains. Impressive work by both!
