Don't expect dinner at 5:30pm or free refills on soda. Order the house wine instead. No athletic shorts in the Louvre. Dress like you respect the place that invented style. For the love of all that's holy, don't rush. Sit in a café, watch the world go by, and pretend you're not checking your phone every 47 seconds. Truth: France rewards the respectful and the patient, once you meet them halfway.

I’m honestly just so tired of dating. Maybe it’s because I haven’t found my person yet, but these days it just feels off. Like everything is so forced, so surface level, and somehow exhausting instead of exciting. It’s like you keep meeting people, having the same conversations, going through the same motions, and it never really leads anywhere meaningful. And after a while, it starts to feel draining, like you’re putting in effort with no real return. I think what makes it worse is knowing what you actually want, but constantly coming across things that don’t align. So now, instead of being fun, dating just feels like a chore, and I’m honestly over it for now.

I'm an introvert. And introverts don't do smalltalk or fake relationships. All human encounters have to be meaningful to us or otherwise they drain our energy and depress the crap out of us. Because of this, we have a tendency to disappear on people for chunks at a time. Guess that's why our circles are so small. A lot of people can't deal with that.
