For anybody wondering what is going on with $CANCER live stream... my life was saved for whole 24 hours untill someone tuned in my stream and got me to download verified game on @Steam After this I was drained for over 32,000$ USD of my creator fees earned on @pumpdotfun and everything quickly changed. I can't breathe, I can't think, im completely lost on what is going to happen next, can't shake the feeling that it is my fault that I might end up on street again or not have anything to eat in few days... my heart wants to jump out of my mouth and it hurts. I won't rewatch this myself but I have added a clip from the stream after I noticed what has happened. also I have succesfully (CTOed) my creator rewards and they have been redirected to safe device. @a1lon9

stage 4 cancer patient raises money for treatment by streaming games on pump fun someone watching recommends they download a game off Steam game contains malware (how it got on Steam I have no idea) and drains them of everything they made. actually sickening. sharing for visibility: if you stream games on pf, be careful of this. info on the game title is in the thread linked.
Downsin Jerome@downsin

A pump.fun streamer that I've known for years, @rastalandTV, who has stage 4 cancer, got his creator fees drained by downloading a Steam game (which turned out to be malicious even though it was on Steam). I'm not saying buy the coin right now because the hacker has access to the wallet and will get the funds. But once we get him sorted with a CTO on a secure wallet, it would be great if people could show support. I'm going to be playing CS2 with him sometime this week on stream if he has the energy. Over 30k was stolen, which was supposed to be for his treatment. It's disgusting that people like this exist, but there's nothing that can be done about that now. Don't send anything to the SOL wallet on his profile yet either because it's the same one that is compromised. I'm confident that he will have the volume to make back what he lost, but the best thing to do right now is to support him/watch his streams when this is resolved. Hopefully, someone on the pumpfun team has enough empathy to get him some attention. @pumpdotfun @a1lon9

@jonathanzliu Founding eng is great if you’ve been a founder/f.eng/sub series A before, get 2–5% equity at a top startup w/ path to CTO, and have full tech ownership. Otherwise, let idea people can kick rocks.. stay comfy in FAANG till you’re actually ready to build.

the biggest thing i’ve learned from being a founding engineer in the past is that i can’t be a founding engineer. like bro you’re getting 0.5% equity and working as hard as the founders and it’s not even your idea. this has resulted in some pretty bad financial decisions btw (i was at @mercor_ai pre series A lol)

@JustDeauIt @Uniswap Every good ui and trading bot sets slippage tolerance and has since the launch of v1 and our interface almost 7 years ago This is an issue with someone not doing this by mistake - presumably a different ui or a poorly implemented bot Nothing wrong with defi

Is anyone safe using DeFi? A user on @Uniswap v3 was just sandwiched attacked out of $216k while simply trying to swap $221k USDC to USDT. Mind you, this was a pool that had over $35m of USDC and USDT it. This is insane. How did it happen? An MEV bot front-ran the tx by swapping all the USDC liquidity out. After the transaction executed, they put back the liquidity. The attacker tipped a block builder (bobTheBuilder) $200k and profited $8k from this transaction. ----- A few ways to try to avoid this: 1. Reduce slippage tolerance on transactions 2. Don't use Uniswap. Use cowswap or another aggregator - which can provide better execution + prevent this malicious MEV 3. Use a custom RPC that doesn't expose your transactions publicly ----- What is Uniswap's responsibility here? We can't live in a world where a user executes a simple swap of $221k in a liquid stablecoin pool and gets rugged. ---- P.S. data team @the_defi_report is cooking. Going deep on MEV to share the economics of various chains from the ground up. Might not be pretty. If you want to stay on top of all the insights we're sharing, you can sign up below 👇

I’ve had the opposite experience building on arbitrum - the support from the offchain labs and foundation teams, as well as the developer community channels, are part of the reason I chose arb. Though, I’m building a game, not sure if DeFi apps have the same channels. @CocoraEth or @d20_eth are good people to connect with at Arb

a personal hypothesis why @base flipped @arbitrum in TVL: there's nobody for app builders to talk to at @arbitrum of all major chains, it's the only one i've never had a contact decentralizing automated processes is great. but you need founders in the trenches with apps
