Matos is a right-handed hitter, no surprise after the Brewers lost Chourio and Vaughn to injuries. No word in the Brewers’ announcement about when he is expected in Milwaukee.

I’ve found myself a Hawkeye fan during this run. I hate to admit it.

A take I’ve been meaning to take public for a long time: you have a pea brain if you think the NBA is a fun product to watch, and your IQ probably hovers around 70. Truly the worst pro sport to watch in America, and I pity you if you pay attention to Adam Silver’s bullshit 👍

@SaadMaan6924 @Brewers What a retard. Seriously, one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read

@TravisBOUND Or maybe he has a great opportunity somewhere else. Maybe the prep school is a better fit for his development for the next level
English

One of the justifications for NIL was that it was needed to stop standout players from transferring, either to prep schools or out of state. The amount of such transfers has not been impacted, because transferring to prep schools or out of state is not about NIL, nor is it really about competition levels in the vast majority of cases. It is about the grass being greener somewhere else, it's about the clout that comes with making such a move, and it's mostly about adults (often with financial gains to be had) convincing kids and families that it is necessary.

Iola-Scandinavia junior Alex Robbins (6-8) plans to attend a prep school in the fall and reclassify to the 2028 class. He will play with the Team Herro 16U EYBL squad this spring/summer.

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the absolute worst takes I’ve ever seen on the internet.

"WISCONSIN IS FAR CLOSER TO BEING A MID-MAJOR THAN A BLUE BLOOD." @JimRutledge says it’s time to reset expectations for Badgers basketball… 👀

As you realize the college sports you grew up with doesn’t exist anymore, it hits you that it may have all been a facade.
The reason these teams below existed was largely to players being exploited with no ability to make money & punished for transferring.
NIL introduced….cream rises to the top. In 2012 a guy who fell through the cracks in recruiting would spend 4 years at a mid major and develop there…not anymore. 80% of those players trickle up to make the major conference teams that were losing in 2008 better in 2026.
College sports was prob better in 2010 but it was due to a model that unequivocally ripped off athletes.
I am open to being wrong here, but the game has changed forever and what we watched years ago was fake.
