🚨 Former Ferrari engineer Jock Clear finds it difficult to criticize Max Verstappen. He believes Verstappen is being pushed into a certain corner by the broadcast direction. Jock Clear: 🗣️ "Red Bull is a very strong team and Verstappen is the guy who helps develop the car. He would even complain about new regulations if he were in P1, I now find it hard to criticize Max. I used to be quite critical of him, until I thought: ‘Wait a minute, this guy is so incredibly good’." According to Clear, Verstappen is someone who knows what he's doing - "I wouldn't say he can do whatever he wants. But I would say he's a very, very smart guy, TV will choose to broadcast certain comments from Max because it fits the narrative." - "His team won't worry about that. When he returns to the factory, Max will simply do very good work to help them." - "I don't think there are many cracks in Red Bull, even though they're having a tough time at the moment. It's a very strong team and they've proven that before, and Max is absolutely the guy you want to steer the development, I'm sure he has his opinion on how these cars are, and he has every right to that. And we're interested in what he thinks." Verstappen complains regularly, and according to Clear, we have to live with that. He doesn't think this has to do with Red Bull's mediocre performances - "Let's be honest: some people will complain, others won't, People think Max makes these remarks because he's in P8 or P9. I have the feeling that Max would say exactly the same if he were in P1, Max is one of the most honest drivers. He would say the same if he were leading." - "Verstappen is frustrated at the moment, but he will enjoy the challenge of developing the car."

oh hell no. to all you curators, dealers, and anyone tied to any institution in the art and culture game: “overpriced” is at the very least unethical and straight-up rude. that’s point one. point two: how the f*&^%k do you even arrive at that judgment? i’ve always been genuinely curious. a work is worth exactly what the artist sets as its price. period. full stop. if for whatever reason you personally can’t stomach folding such deep, heavy, demanding work into your pristine catalogues and curated line-ups, that is not the artist’s problem. that is yours! “overpriced.” really? have you considered the possibility that maybe this art is simply too much for you to handle? that it’s beyond your current reach? maybe try something a little lighter, a little safer? and if you’re actually curating one of the leading platforms in this ecosystem, then act like it. uphold some goddamn ethics. or just send me your mailing address, i’ll gift you a free copy of an ethical code of conduct and a proper curator’s handbook. no invoice. artists! you are the f*&^*&%ing centre of gravity here! never forget it!
