To engage in crass dialogue for a bit, a simple change here would have pissed less people off. Just have it be defiant dialogue. “I’ll fucking suck your dick.” Changes to “Suck my fucking dick.” “You want me to eat shit? I’ll eat your fucking shit.” Changes to “Eat my ass, you fucking shit-eater.” The reliance on crudeness still kind of robs the scene of its weight in the end, but it’s more in line with how someone like Homelander would go out.
