@queso_gatame there are many valid criticisms for Haredi Jews. unfortunately Hasan managed to pick one of the few that doesn't apply, and is only really thrown around as casually as he did by people explicitly trafficking in antisemitism.

@queso_gatame It might seem that way on the surface, however the "Ultra" in "Ultra-Orthodox" might be misleading in the sense that Haredi Jews make up 14% of all Jews worldwide.
This is not a tiny or isolated (ish) faction of Jews, and "percentage of total"-wise matches Shiites for Islam

If I said Shiites are "Inbred" in the same generally derogatory fashion, would it be fair if a mailer said I was calling Muslims "Inbred"? Do you think any of these individuals would care about this distinction then?

If, for example, anyone were to call Shiites "inbred", @JulianAndreone would be rightly outraged at the blatant display of racism/bigotry/ignorance
