At a time when global hunger is on the rise and the pandemic has dramatically impacted global food systems, corporations are gaining even more control over agriculture than ever. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), the largest private charitable foundation in the world, is leading the way in pushing global agricultural development priorities toward industrial and chemical-intensive models--including in Africa, through their investments in the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA).
This video series, developed by @agrawatch and the Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa, explains why exporting the US agribusiness model to #Africa is a grave mistake.
The authentic African solution is a commitment to #agroecology and #foodsovereignty – the right to healthy and culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and sustainable methods and the right to define one’s own food and agriculture systems.

Namibia had to change their team tonight as World Rugby forced them to play 4 games in 19 days.
For context, France have 14 days before their next game.
Namibia will finish their World Cup before teams like New Zealand have even played their 3rd game. Ridiculous.
