Brian spent his life serving our country, our province, and the community of @BonnyvilleAB.
He was more than a colleague — he was a true friend.
He will be deeply missed. 💙
✨As we look back on history, we also look forward to the future! ✨
The Board of Directors at the Bonnyville & District Historical Society wishes everyone a spectacular 2026.
Happy New Year! ❄️🏛️🎆

Bonnyville’s original water tower has quite a story! Purchased second-hand from rural Québec for just $6,800, it brought running water to town in 1951. 💧
It stood behind Notre Dame HS before moving to the Museum in the early '90s. 🏛️

𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐨! 🎄
A heartfelt thank you to the FABCA (Filipino Association of Bonnyville & Cold Lake Alberta) for the warm invitation to their wonderful Christmas Party last evening. It was truly a pleasure to attend alongside Mayor Bob Mattice City of Cold Lake. The food, entertainment and hospitality was truly remarkable.
The Filipino community plays such an important role in Cold Lake; your culture, generosity, strong family values, and community spirit enrich our city in so many meaningful ways. Events like this beautifully showcase the warmth and unity that make the City of Cold Lake such a special place to live.

We may be closed for the season 🚪❄️🎅, but we’re still highlighting an Artifact of the Month!
🌟 December’s pick: Vintage Spoon Car 🚗🥄🍴✨
That would have been a cool 😎 present under the tree🎄

🍿The Bonnyville Drive-In! 🚗
Located on the west end by B&R, you had to sneak in via the alley behind Pizza Hut (Radfords) & the Cemetery. Sadly, the screen came down in the late 70s. 🎬
What was the first or last movie you saw there? 👇

🇨🇦 Remembrance Day 🇨🇦
Today we pause and remember our veterans & first responders who served and sacrificed for our freedom.
Thank you to the Bonnyville Legion, and to @mikeplume for his song “On Remembrance Day.”
