🏈 2025 Sports in Kansas – 4A Offensive Player of the Year Nick Anciaux – Kapaun Mt. Carmel, OL (Senior) At 6’5”, 270 pounds, senior offensive lineman Nick Anciaux was the anchor of the most dominant offense in Class 4A, leading Kapaun Mt. Carmel to its first state championship since 1987. A Tulsa commit with elite length and power, Anciaux set the tone up front for a unit that averaged nearly 350 rushing yards per game and over 400 total yards of offense, controlling the line of scrimmage in every round of the playoffs. It’s a rare occasion for a lineman to earn Offensive Player of the Year, but there was no denying how dominant this line was for KMC in 2025. Anciaux didn’t rack up individual statistics because offensive linemen rarely get the spotlight, but the tape and results tell the real story. He was the consistent force that paved the way for stars like Ken Huff, Wyatt Sullenger, James Geyer, and Cal Purvis, while protecting quarterback Cole Rapp. Kapaun’s offensive identity ran directly through its front and Anciaux was the leader of that group, alongside standout lineman Landon Heise. A multi-year All-State selection, Anciaux earned First Team All-League, Sports in Kansas First Team All-State, 2024 SIK Non-Senior Large Class Team, and now finishes as the 2025 Sports in Kansas 4A Offensive Player of the Year. He committed to The University of Tulsa, choosing the Golden Hurricane over scholarship offers from Air Force, Rice, UTSA, Navy, Western Michigan, Arkansas State, South Dakota, Illinois State, Montana State, North Texas, Penn, Furman, New Mexico, Lafayette, Lindenwood, Missouri State, and others. Anciaux comes from a standout Wichita sports family. His brother Will Anciaux is a tight end at Kansas State, and his sister Ella played basketball at Wichita State, making the Anciaux household home to multiple Division I athletes. His favorite food is his dad’s burgers, he loves following college football, and his favorite moment was Kapaun’s iconic overtime comeback over Wichita Northwest after trailing 28–0, a turning point that helped spark their title march. He credits his father as his biggest role model and proudly represents being one of six siblings. To close out his career, Anciaux offered a message that reflects his journey and mindset: “Shoutout to my parents for always believing in me when no one else did. We did it.” A trench captain, a tone-setter, and the driving force of the best offense in 4A, Nick Anciaux leaves Kapaun as one of Kansas’ top linemen and the 2025 SIK 4A Offensive Player of the Year. #sportsinkansas
