It happened! First 100° September day in Portland since 1988. That's the 3pm temp, most likely we'll end up around 102° or so. Yep, it's a scorcher, even with all the fire smoke overhead. That smoke is thicker in the valley, holding Salem/Eugene below 100°...for now

@wanyeburkett U can also have bad credit if u never used credit. That said, u r right that no one is obligated to loan u money in the US just because u r capable of paying it back. In other countries, though, credit history is not as important, u get loans based on your income.

@timedetectives @NoetheMatt Indians used Long pepper (pipli) & black pepper before chillies and such recipes are still in use. Spices like cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, mustard. Gourds, eggplant are native and used before potatoes & are still in use in many recipes. Rice, pulses still used. It’s not the same!
