@rainar_angelo I won’t trust myself to iterate without getting bogged down until I ship and repeat a few dozen times first!
English

@_chrisrush Definitely is the way to go!
Ship. Iterate. Repeat.
English

@UVMarshal Learning *feels* like progress, and it also makes it easy to say to myself “I’ll implement this soon, as soon as X happens.” Meanwhile years pass!
English

@_chrisrush I love the analogy.
It's like you being in a trance and sitting in front of a TV for past so many years.
Action > Learning
Execution is the way to go.
English

@SnazzyLabs I enjoy it, but I wish I could either turn up the resolution or get access to a 2nd 1440 screen. Tough adjustment from a 4k monitor that I crank to 3k something, text sharpness be damned.
English

@Rubyjayrush Yesss, 10xing *is* just the beginning. If you don’t 10x by 8am, is it even a day, bro?
English

@KyleBowe4 Yeah, I'll make it up at the top, that way people who don't want to hear from me will hopefully do that instead of marking it as spam.
English

@_chrisrush Be open and honest. Give context. Remind them they signed up months ago and tell them why they haven't heard from you.
Make unsubscribing easier than having it at the bottom of the email.
English

@OranAITech The newsletter is new. I did a big joint venture in late 2022 that had a bunch of people promoting me so got a couple of thousand people on my list....and then never did anything with them after the event. Now want to engage with a newsletter.
English

@_chrisrush Hey Chris,
Do you mind sharing what happened? Just started writing a newsletter myself.
English

@evielync @alphaprep This is helpful. And I also appreciate your content, specifically on Tana!
English

@alphaprep @_chrisrush Yeah this. I used to spend way too much time apologising for absences.
Now I just show up again like nothing happened and people don’t even realise I was gone.
English

@_chrisrush Just email them! *No major apologies.* "Hi! Here's what's new!"
We overthink this – your people just will appreciate your emailing them.
English

@alphaprep Yeah, there's a theme of advice here: acknowledge, but don't make it about me.
English

@sucantare Yeah someone else just mentioned that and I think it's good advice. Acknowledge it without leaning into it. Appreciate it.
English

@_chrisrush Depends really
Is it a list you want to continue with?
Is it the right audience for what you currently want to talk about?👀
Could send an email to them, get a pulse check, and based on that move them to a new list or continue that one to warm it up again 🥹
English

@cathyraffaele Hmm, that's a good thought too....I do want to acknowledge it, but maybe not lean into it too much.
English

@_chrisrush I've done this and it's been fine.
I did acknowledge the break but didn't get too caught up in explaining it.
Got some nice replies back.
English

@_chrisrush Definitely. High open rate, high click rate, fair amount of replies
English

@jcvangent ha, true enough. I have it written, just need to import the list!
English

@_chrisrush Good luck, and remember every day that you postpone because of fear it has been so long ago makes the time since the last email longer 🙃
English

@_chrisrush It was really scary to send that email, but it made me realize it was just a bunch of nice humans on the other end.
Good luck with it!
English

@_chrisrush I think you’ll be surprised at how few unsubs/spam complaints you’ll get.
English

@jcvangent Yeah, I think that's probably the best advice. That's what I'm going to do. Tell a story, give them what to expect, with an easy way to opt out.
English

@_chrisrush Why not both? Explain why you didn’t mail them for so long, explain what you’re plan is going forward, share the resource and let them decide if they want to stay on the list or not
English

@Navigento Life IS weird, and I think we all need a reminder of that sometimes. That's exactly what I'll do. Thanks for the thought!
English

@_chrisrush Be honest and open about what's happened and why you're back. I wouldn't think it's weird. Life's weird!
