Client came to me with a photography course that wasn't selling It had 13 modules & 87 videos(!) Why no sales? Because a course described as being about All of Photography isn't very compelling It upset her when I told her this, so I explained what I call the “2am Problem”

Had a prospect flip out at me. In a good way. I told them about a client who’s making about $500 extra per month after I set up some automations for her. Prospect said: “It’s refreshing to not hear about some six-figure windfall like everyone’s talking about.” Honesty works.

@thealexxroy Great lesson. Persistence seems to be less and less well regarded as time goes on. Especially now that we’ve entered the age of AI quick-fixes.

@CharliePabst I once chased a project for months claiming easy returns. Turns out, I just got a lesson in persistence instead. Passive income feels mythical sometimes.

I view claims of "100% passive income" the same way I view unicorns. I'm open to it. It might exist. Somewhere. But I have yet to truly see it.

Been listening to The Telepathy Tapes and one thing is increasingly clear... We're spiritual beings. Not meat bodies. And the extent to which this has been trained out of us is sad. What a shame.

"We're not humans having a spiritual experience. We're spirits having a human experience." Love that quote. But listening to people concoct every odd explanation for The Telepathy Tapes makes me realize not a lot of folks believe it.

Two weekends into the @F1 season and it’s already rather unbearable. The push-a-button passing and repassing is so ridiculous and artificial. The @fia botched and neutered this one big time.

Spent an hour this morning vibe coding a note-taking app. Built entirely on markdown files with an electron app wrapper. Next → Integrate Claude Code into the UI and build an agent functionality so it can read, create & interact with all the notes. Pretty wild that you can dream something and then just have Claude create it.

When I was 17, I was driving recklessly and crashed into an oncoming car. I found out that I broke the other driver’s spine, and she’ll never walk again. I felt so horrible about it for so many years that at age 35 I decided to find this woman to apologize.

Nothing inherently wrong with hard-sell tactics, but I’ll say this… Once your prospect truly understands how you can help them, they’ll buy. So easy. If you need NLP & psych tricks to get the purchase or to replace understanding… You’re getting into pretty shady territory.

Color me not surprised. One of the only people I’ve blocked within about ten minutes of interacting with him. I don’t care how good your product is or how smart you are, if you’re an asshole I got zero time.

In 2007 I wrote a little manifesto. It was a business book but had no "businessy" things in it. Nothing on stats or sales or CRO. It was entirely philosophical. All about treating people well, being ethical, doing your best, etc. That book
