The idea of a Christian getting killed for their faith might sound medieval, but it’s actually never stopped happening. Only in America do we have the luxury of living a lukewarm and comfortable Christian life.
Many Orthodox believers overseas are being killed for their faith everyday, especially in Ukraine and the Middle East. And as recently as 1989, the communist government in Romania was torturing priests in prison camps.
Apparently, the psychological experiments were so horrific, some prisoners turned into animals and monsters. But those who held onto their faith and lived to tell the tale became soft and saintly men, truly strong and illumined men.
Survivors like Father Roman Braga, who passed away only a decade ago, said the experience made him a real Christian. Before it, he did not really know God or the Kingdom within. He only knew these things theoretically.
He finally understood what it meant to be crucified with Christ and suffer with joy. So, even though gulags and evil emperors sound like things of the past, they never really went away. And history has a habit of repeating itself.
Nevertheless, the most bloody battle against the faith in modern times was definitely the Bolshevik Revolution, when communism was first tried in Russia. This was in 1917, when the mass murder of over 60 million Orthodox believers began. It didn’t end until 1958.
However, systematic harassment and surveillance continued into the 1970s. In other words, they were gang stalked. And Americans who ask too many questions are starting to experience this now too. They call themselves targeted individuals. But we call them crazy.
Like Elder Ignatius of Harbin said, what began in Russia will end in America. And like Father Seraphim Rose said, the believers in the last days will go through mental martyrdom and have their minds crucified. Despite this, some say America is entering a Golden Age.
They believe Donald Trump is a Christian who will usher in a period of peace and prosperity by rounding up minorities. They also believe their president is working with Orthodox bishops for a good cause. But isn’t this what Hitler did before he became a dictator and made a state religion?
Even though many Americans are being socially engineered to think Hitler was a Christian too, the fact is, he persecuted Orthodox priests. Many were assassinated or arrested. For example, Saint Nikolai Velimirovich was imprisoned at the Dachau concentration camp where he suffered from sickness and starvation.
He saw many die this way. He also saw people whipped, stretched, and hung from hooks. But the saint would just sit in a corner and pray until he saw God face to face. After he was released, he said he would’ve traded the rest of his life for one more hour in Dachau. But I digress.
Apparently, their tradition was “too Jewish” and not nationalistic enough. Hitler tried to combine all the Protestant denominations into a Reich Church. He realized most Orthodox were against the heresy of ecumenism, so he allowed them to remain separate, as long as they were loyalists.
This is why Hitler paid special attention to Russian clergy, kind of like Trump is. Trump claims they could be dangerous KGB agents, but works with dangerous CIA agents who push ecumenism. Sadly, some Russian bishops are part of this same conspiracy.
So, this rift between Russia and America was obviously orchestrated with a future solution in mind: a one world religion that unites humanity. Maybe this is why World War III is happening. Maybe this is why Putin and Elon are having secret conversations.
Elon recently reconciled with Trump, so maybe they will all work together soon. Elon is also building Neuralink labs near Trump’s ICE detention centers. Are they planning to chip and mind control those who refuse to join their global church? Who knows. Anything is possible.
But a Great Tribulation seems inevitable. So, we should be ready. In fact, we should be fearless and excited, like the saints.
