According to boycotters, Jay is “mistreated” because he’s a low value idol… Their logic for Jay and Jungwon: “They’re the least biased members, so they don’t bring as much value to the company… that’s why they get mistreated.” And for Sunoo? “He was the producer’s choice on I-LAND, so even if he doesn’t make money now, they have to stand behind him for PR.” Another insane take: Sunoo isn’t popular internationally because he’s “feminine,” so he doesn’t make money… and that’s why he’s “mistreated.” I’m actually shocked. I cannot believe this is the narrative being pushed. Boycotters cannot claim to be ot7 while speaking about the members like this. You guya are moving like antis in disguise…. First of all, every enhypen member has strong individual selling power. Jay and Jungwon have massive fanbases who support them and show up for them consistently. And Sunoo?? Are we serious right now? while recording “whodunit,” jay was also recording for enhypen at the same time, so he was going back and forth between two studios. the members even listened to his vocals and were impressed, saying it would definitely turn out to be a great collaboration 😍

GLAY X JAY WHODUNIT “whodunit” is jay’s first featured song with the legendary japanese rock band, glay. this song marked his first solo activity, the launch of his spotify artist profile, and his second komca credit as a lyricist. for the past few years, takuro had been looking for a singer who could match teru’s level, but couldn’t find the right person. then he came across ENHYPEN JAY, an artist who loves rock, blues, guitar, and is fluent in japanese. after watching jay’s performances, he felt jay had a unique charm that went beyond k-pop and thought it would be interesting to see him in glay. at that time, jay was on a world tour, so he wasn’t sure if jay would accept his offer. but even after six months, he couldn’t shake the feeling that it had to be jay, so he reached out personally, and jay accepted right away. glay trusted jay with both the recording process and writing his own lyrics, giving him full creative freedom. instead of giving strict directions, they encouraged him to sing freely. throughout the process, jay experienced many firsts, including recording so freely and writing lyrics for a japanese song for the first time. during interviews, glay kept praising jay’s singing style, his vocals, his skills, his charm, and of course his passion for guitar. takuro said, “he’s got guts, and his vocals are like a one-hit kill, and i felt like i witnessed a world-class performance up close.” glay invited him to perform with them at their glay expo concert at belluna dome in front of over 30k people, this also marked his first solo activity outside of enhypen. glay and jay also promoted “whodunit” together on music station. after that, glay appeared as guests on enhypen kakkoii, and they (enhypen & glay) also performed together at beat ax vol.6. and even after that, their relationship didn’t just end there. in fact, jay and glay’s bond only grew stronger. many people even say that glay are jay’s “japanese dads,” and every time jay is in japan, he often meets up and eats together with glay. happy 3M views to “whodunit”! this song will always be my favorite. let’s keep showing our love and keep streaming! I sincerely apologize in advance for the tone of this message, as it may come across as strongly worded. However, the ongoing display of disrespect has become overwhelming especially today.
This month holds great significance for us, and it is deeply disheartening to witness how things are turning out within the first few days of April that’s meant to celebrate and honor Jay of Enhypen.
In addition to the protest ad still being displayed near HYBE, there are reports of more protest trucks that are about to run this month too. While I would like to believe that these actions stem from a desire to support all seven members, I hope that the same level of consideration and respect can also be extended to Jay.
What’s particularly troubling is hearing people describe him as a “lower value” member. This characterization is not only inaccurate but also profoundly disrespectful. In their exact remarks:
“They’re the least biased members, so they don’t bring as much value to the company… that’s why they get mistreated.”
If the intention of the boycott is to advocate for all seven members, it raises the question, how can such perspective toward him be justified? The person being labeled as “lower value” is the same person who tirelessly dedicates himself to self-improvement even at the point of losing sleep because he want to become a better artist. He consistently expresses his commitment to doing his best to bring happiness to Engene. Viewing him in this manner calls into question the sincerity of that support.
In light of this, I respectfully urge Bluejays to be more vocal in supporting Jay. If few or none speak on his behalf, we risk allowing this pattern of negativity and disrespect to persist, not only during this month, but beyond it.
