Wow, this is huge 😳 Basically, you can use your agent to buy something on your behalf.

@uiuxphil @illyism @tailwindcss @adamwathan I also think people would not pay for it unless it’s some kind of advanced component with functionalities hard to generate with a prompt
English

@illyism @tailwindcss @adamwathan And why would people buy these? If AI can generate everything you've mentioned in minutes for free?

This is wild to watch

@maxedapps @MelkeyDev I used to watch tons of free tutorials on YouTube but honestly I can’t remember the last time I did. Nowadays I actually buy courses if I want to learn something. Do you think paid courses are facing the same issue?
English

Coding tutorials are dead!
I stumbled across a video that essentially said that yesterday (by @MelkeyDev ).
And ... I agree.
The "good old" long-form tutorial videos with detailed explanations that did NOT just share a quick solution but the actual WHY behind a problem + its solution are kind of dying.
And I personally find that kind of sad. Not just because I create(d) them (and thoroughly enjoyed that) but because I think they DID add real value. Otherwise I wouldn't have created them.
I still think TRULY understanding something is valuable. Being able to figure stuff out and dive deeper is useful.
Being an expert at something (or becoming one) is fun.
But shorter attention spans, the current macroeconomics and - of course - AI have changed that.
People are used to getting instant solutions, not lengthy explanations. They don't care about the WHY (or why not in a certain other way).
The way people learn is changing. And content creators like I will have to adapt or do something else.
One way to adapt is to switch to tech-tainment. Share opinions, reactions etc.
I do that, too.
But I also think there is room for AI-enriched, "proper" education & teaching.
Because I DO think that AI can be a huge enabler and you can get the best of both worlds: Deep, human-guided knowledge & explanation, combined with the personalized, instant help AI offers.
