214 days ago. 7 months to the date. I decided to change my habits. To no longer allow myself to be so heavy. To be in pain. To fear for my health. Today, I’ve hit a massive milestone. I’m at a weight I haven’t seen since, perhaps, middle school. I started at 272.8lbs. Today, I stuck the sub-200 landing. 199 lbs. 73.8 lbs down. Back to work.

Tonight reminded me what real wealth looks like. My wife threw me a 40th birthday party. There was music. Laughter. Friends and family sharing stories. Kids running, yelling, voices echoing throughout the house. Everywhere I looked. Joy. And in the middle of it all, I felt this deep, quiet gratitude. Not for stuff. Not for material wealth. But for this life I had a hand in building. I’m grateful for having this life I didn’t expect to be blessed with.

@SaulSellsStuff I have a monthly membership. I have a black car so dirt shows easily and I don’t like it. spring there’s pollen, winter there’s salt, when it rains it leaves water marks, bird poop, when it snows and I don’t want to clean it off I wash it off, etc.

I have to know. What is the value in going to the car wash? I can see it as a once in a while thing (first date, picking up the in-laws, etc) but they sell monthly memberships now. Who is going once a week and doesn’t your car just immediately get dirty?
